Happy holidays from Jamie and Eric!

Like the old book says, 2025 was the best of times and the worst of times. Jamie continues to practice acupuncture and massage with her Balance Studio in Denver.  Eric keeps busy freelance writing for magazines and guidebooks. Our fuzzy friends, Ogma and Aoife, remain as playful and cuddly as ever.

We visited St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands for 10 days in January, then Jamie helped her parents downsize for the bulk of the spring and summer, when they got settled in their new home in Vernal, Utah.

We went to Lake City in September for our annual hiking trip with the dogs. We hiked to Crystal Lake, and saw a few snowflakes up top, and Oggie decided to go off-trail on the Big Blue Trail and descend about 100 steep feet to the river. We were impressed that he could make it back up to us without a rope.

Then we went to Ogden for a Flaming Lips concert later in September and rode the California Zephyr to Glenwood Springs in October.

Jamie still loves to craft when she has the time and inspiration, and Eric continues to make hard listening music with his band, Weird Al Qaida. And it was a good year for the garden. The backyard came alive as Jamie planted all sorts of flowers and succulents, and our pepper harvest was pretty good. Eric got back into the travel guide business with work for Fodor's in New Mexico and Utah.
Sadly, we had to say goodbye to one of our best friends in October, when Pat Haight unexpectedly passed away. Pat was Eric's buddy since first grade, drummer for Weird Al Qaida and The Barrys, pro audio engineer, and all-around good guy. He is greatly missed.
